Punta Abreojos is a fishing town in Mulege Municipality, Baja California Sur, Mexico.

It is located at the entrance to Laguna San Ignacio, biosphere reserve, often visited by flocks of whales. An isolated hill, 95 metres 312 FT high, rises a few miles outside the city, and is a notable landmark for sailors. Several beacons are situated near the city.

Punta Abreojos was named Francisco de bolaños, whose expedition reached the headland, but no further. Abreojos means "open your eyes", and refers to the treacherous sailing conditions, with many rocks and reefs.

Punta Abreojos is reached a long way with multiple features of interest. It consists of 500 houses, several grocery stores, the runway, and the fish packing plant, a store, churches, schools, and clinics. In cities the main economic output of fishing for California spiny lobster and abalone.
